Pure New Zealand. Here are some facts about New Zealand.
- Our country is made of Maori, Europeans, Pasifika and many more cultures.
- Rugby is the most famous sport in New Zealand, the All Blacks trained so hard that they were able to win the World's Cup.
- A traditional greeting in Maori is called a Hongi. Maori people do a Hongi at a special occasion. A Hongi is when two people press their noses together and breathe in when they breathe in they are breathing in life.
Hi Pisirina,
ReplyDeleteSo good to have you join and participate in the Winter Learning Journey programme. My name is Willy, and I'm one of the commenters for the programme.
One thing about this post that I like is your fact about rugby and the All Blacks.
Just recently the All Blacks played against the British and Irish Lions for the decider game (because originally there are two games in the series test, and the All Blacks won the first game, while the Lions won the second game, which meant that it was tied, so a third game, called the decider, was to be played) of the Lions tour, which is held by the Lions team every 12 years. And the weirdest thing about this is that the game ended with a TIE! 15 all! So the rugby tour ended with a draw!
What are the odds, right? That much dedication and determination from the All Blacks to try and beat the Lions shows how much heart they have for a sport so close to New Zealand.
