Aue Rona! - Writing 2020

Task Description
I haven't posted a writing task in a while, so here you go! Like my reading task, it's about Rona and the moon. The object of our task was to choose whether you support or don't support with Rona getting angry at the moon. I chose the stance of supporting Rona. It took a while to actually understand the story so I can use the information from the Patricia Grace story in my own writing. I tried to make it seem as if I had the same emotions and mindset as Rona but not in her perspective, If you get what i'm saying (Probably not). Anyway, Enjoy!

There's a woman in the moon?!? - Reading 2020

Task Description
This is my reading task for this week. It is another maori myth and its about a lady and the moon. I remember learning this in maori class as a junior. Similar to my Maui presentation, I did the same tasks like breaking the text into word groups and finding "worthy" words. My create task will be coming soon so keep an eye out for that which will be another review!

Te Ika A Maui - Reading 2020

Task Description

Our task was about the Legend/Myth about Maui and how NZ came to be. I already knew this story but I learnt some new facts about Maui and the country - New Zealand. My task was to break an extract of the text into word groups. Next, I had to highlight the "worthy" word and underline its word group. I also made a recording of me reading the text with expression. Create task was making a review on a particular video and why you should watfch it. I think a did a good job on this but I am still probably gonna edit this later with my teacher!

What day is this? - Te Reo Maori 2020

Task Description
For maori, we learnt the days and months in maori. Our maori teacher for this week was Whaea Kelly. We learnt the 12 months and the 7 days in te reo maori. We then completed the follow-up tasks. Our create task was to have a conversation and ask a question "When is your birthday?" in maori and reply in maori saying your birth month. I made a comic strip for this simple task.
