Are your emotions overwhelming? Use this strategy. - Health 2020

When your emotions are overwhelming, you should start by doing something personal. This is called personal strategies. Find a hobby that you can do by yourself. This could be listening to music, writing down your emotions or playing sport by yourself. Anything that you can do by yourself to calm your emotions down. 

The next step will be interpersonal. Interpersonal is all about opening up and depending on another person that will listen. This could be your family members, friends or neighbours. And if they dont listen, find someone else. Remember that there will ALWAYS be someone who will LISTEN! 

This is the last step that you should use only if needed. Societal! Reach out to someone bigger thats in a community such as a Church, Government, School or Work environment. You could open up to a therapist, social worker, teacher or church minister. Someone with wise advice and who will definitely listen, they are also trained for some of these conversations.
