Guardian's of the Galaxy Animation.
This is my animation. Our theme is Guardian's of the Galaxy and so I had to make a animation about how earth is no longer habitable for us so we have to find another planet. Hope you enjoy!
Pisirina Guardians of the Galaxy Narrative.
Chapter 1,The Spill:
During a hot day, 3 good friends were out at the beach . Peter, Luna and Neil were having a picnic, until they see a big steamboat. They saw something from the boat leaking into the ocean. They immediately went over to Luna’s Apartment and started watching the News.
Chapter 2,Panicking News:
“ There is breaking news, repeat there is breaking news, there has just been an oil spill down in Mission bay.” said Jessie the reporter. “ There is also been some factories that have been polluting the air by just burning metal and other materials.” Jessie panicked. “ Also there is an 95% that we have to leave earth and move to another planet! Who is going to save us? Questioned Jessie.
Ahhhh! Neil screamed, We are going to die. “ But I am too young to die” Luna cried. “You are only 21 yrs old” replied Peter. They figured out that they have to save the World themselves after all Neil is an Astronaut, Luna is a Scientist and Peter is a Adventurer. Anyways Neil asked his old agent if he still had his Rocket.
Chapter 3, The start of something different .
His Agent said Yes, “Hooray” 3 of them shouted. They all rushed over to where his rocket and found out that his Rocket was busted. Peter said “I know how to fix your rocket, I just need some fixing tools and my brain.” Yay! “You saved my day Peter” said Luna.
“Hammer Please” said Peter, “ Also the nuts and bolts” Luna handed it.
“There it is finished, Now let’s go blast into space and find another planet to live on.’’ Peter said.
They went outside of his agent’s backyard and started the countdown. “Three, Two,One Blast Off”said Neil. They all blasted off into space and went to mars. But as soon as they saw mars, there was a asteroid coming towards them so they immediately went back to Earth. On their way back to Earth they saw a very interesting planet. So they decided to land on the planet.
“OMG, It so amazing!I am definitely not leaving this planet.”said Luna. “ Wait what should we name this planet.” said Peter. Neil replied “ I was thinking because there is so much water on this planet it should be named Aquavia.”
And lived happily ever after.
Pisirina Imaginative Recount Writing (Solar Eclipse).
OMG! That was really cool. Oh Hi there,I just came back from looking at the Solar Eclipse. Did you see it as well!
For those of you who don’t know what a solar eclipse is, it is when the Moon passes between the sun and Earth while orbiting. If you didn’t know that I think you’ve been living under a rock. Well enough of that let’s talk about the Solar eclipse.
It was breathtaking and astonishing to look at when I was wearing the solar glasses. The view was definitely a delight to the senses. Something that I noticed was it was starting to get really cold because without the sun there would be no warmth in Earth.
What I wore was these special glasses called solar glasses. I have to wear it because if I don’t I will become blind and I don’t want that to happen. Plus if you wear it you get a better view of the Solar eclipse.
I also heard some people saying ‘Woah, Wow, OMG and AHHHHH!’. But me I stayed calm but at the same time I was just SHOOK. I wonder what other people felt during the Solar Eclipse.
I just can’t wait until next year when there’s a Lunar Eclipse in Auckland, New Zealand! Or the next Solar Eclipse.

Reflection: Term 3 Paideia Seminar
On Tuesday we had our 3rd Paideia Seminar.
The Statement we had to think about was: ‘Is being civilised such a good thing?’ There are different meanings for the word civilisation. It is good to be civilised because if we weren't nice to each other there would be wars. What I think civilisation means is how advanced or how easy things are now than back then. If we weren’t civilised and there were no laws, first of all there would be lots of car crashes and wars because some people might not be loyal or kind towards others.
My Goal was to speak about 3 times and I finally reached my Goal. What was different from this seminar from our 2nd one was that I opened my mouth more and last time I was really quiet. What I am going to work more on is to think more critically and share more information about the topic.

Pisirina Recount Writing: Stardome Trip
While sorting out groups, I was scared if I was with my friends or not. Mrs Buchanan called out my name and said “ Pisirina, Roshaan, Jedida, Marika,AJF, Jacob, Varnce and AJT are in Mr Eze’s group.
When we got there, I was so excited because it looked so fascinating inside. We marched politely inside the Stardome classroom. We met our instructor, his name is John. He talked with us about all of the facts of the planets in the solar system. A few facts I learnt in the room is that some nicknames for the planets are Rocky midgets(Earth, Mars, Mercury and Venus), Gas Giants (Saturn,Jupiter,Uranus and Neptune). Another thing I also learnt is Venus is hotter than Mercury and Mercury is the second closest to the Sun.
After that we had a scavenger hunt about space. We had to look for answers around the Gallery area. There were three groups who came 1st equal. Mr Eze had two groups for the scavenger hunt and they both came 1st! The names of the two groups are The Galaxy / Mr Eze’s boys and The Stars A.K.A. me and the other girls.
Now we went over to the Planetarium and this is where all the magic begins. We looked up into this dome and watched this cool movie. We saw some zodiac signs and other things in the milky way.
The worst thing about the trip was going in the same bus which had no windows and the Air conditioner didn’t work! I literally thought that I was going to be a baked potato. Another problem was I was all by myself because I had none of my besties with me and so I kept on singing Lonely to myself but it still didn’t change a single thing.
In the end of the day I really enjoyed what had just happened last Thursday and I was really excited to write about it.
