Favourite thing to do at PES

Do you have any highlights that stood out in your school life?

I have plenty and I am excited to tell you what one of them are.
Today I am going to be explaining my favourite things at school.
If you want to find out more then just keep on reading!

One of my favourite events so far is Year 6 Camp.
We got do fun stuff like Abseiling,Kayaking,Raft building and jumping off the Pontoon.
The reason why is because we had an opportunity to go to
another place which was Kawau Island.

Another reason why is because of the item night.
On a thursday night, we had to do our chant and a item we had prepared for the last week or so.
We all worked hard together to have the perfect dance and chant.
What I loved about this night is that not only did we come second but everyone had a
great time dancing!

Last reason is the Bivouac building.
Bivouac is when you have to build a hut and it has to fit the whole group in it.
Me and Marika were a group and we made a decent house with wood.
There were a few holes so when we had to tip a bucket of water over the house,
Marika got wet on her head. That was funny.

Preparing for a test

Task Description
This task is about being test ready. This week we had a two reading test which is all about comprehension and Vocabulary. We had to read a text and answer the question. The other was about Synonyms and Vocab. This task wasn't tricky but wasn't easy. Hope you enjoy!

Raro Ratio!

For Maths we made raro. Why, because this helps us with ratios. Ratio appears in Cooking. So Mrs Stone thought that this is great idea since we are a trustworthy class. The ratio is 3 teaspoons per 250ml of water. This was a fun time!

Steps to becoming a Role-Model

Do you want to be a role-model? Well, you better listen up because if you want to become someone like me then I guarantee you will succeed. I have 2 secret steps to be the perfect role-model everyone wants. Read on to find out what those secrets are.

The first step to becoming a role-model is about your look and attitude. You will have to wear appropriate clothes and you have to have a good attitude. If you go to school and wear a uniform then wear it with pride and remember to always wear a smile to get the best look in your class. You will look like a leader, but don’t smile too much because that will make you look weird.

Secondly, you will need to show leadership. One way to show leadership is by being trustworthy,having respect,confidence and to just lead the way. As a leader, older and younger people will rely on you often. You must also always have respect. Respect for everyone and everything. Confidence is very important when you are a role model because you will have to do jobs which includes public speaking and more.

Well, there you have it. The two main steps to becoming successful. I guarantee you that you will get everyone to follow and admire you after this. Have a great day!

Fighting with Ratios?!?

Task Description

This weeks task is all about ratio. Ratio isn't only in Math's, it is in Cooking,Work and more. It is a helpful subject in Math's that we should all learn as a kid. As I have already has some experience it was easier for my brain to understand more than others due to the connections I've had. I got a bit confused on the Relationships on the Year 9 level but I pushed through and just clicked also sorry if it doesn't make sense on that slide. Anyway, I really enjoyed doing this and I hope you enjoy my presentation.

The reason/s why I enjoy playing these games are:

• The reason why I like games are because they are competitive game.
• It is very fun and entertaining.
• You can play these games by yourself, with a pair or more!

Learning could be made much more fun and interesting if it included these elements of a
game:

• It would be fun if we had a prize or earned points during the game so the people will be
• hooked onto the learning like when we play a game.

• If we had a time limit or a funny punishment at the end to get people to do their work on
• time or to make it more entertaining for more people.

• If our learning was gamified I’d love it to have some obstacles courses or some
• challenges along the way to make us more excited for learning or for what’s next.

Task Description
Above this you will see 4 pictures and myself. In the top left corner is a cross and the bible it represents that I believe in Jesus which means I am a christian. In the other top corner you will see the word 'Family'. My Family is very important to me, they are my loved ones and my everything. The corner with the red flag is about my culture. I value my culture very much, the flag is the Samoa flag and the words above it say which island in Samoa I am from. I am from the Island of Upolu in Samoa. Obviously, I had to add in a flower to show that my culture is pretty and soft like a flower. Finally, the last corner is about how I admire Music. Music has always been apart of my life if its at school, at home or even at church you will see me singing,performing and listening to all types of music including foreign music! K-pop is my favourite genre as it helps me be more active with other languages. That is all I have to say about my Visual Mihi. I hope you enjoyed me explaining my 4 important things in my life.
