If you ever come across something suspicious and you don't know if it is fake news then here are some ways to see if it is real - Check google - see if there are any reliable sites that have reported that article. Read it clearly - see if is based on opinon or facts. Investigate the site and see if the other sites have talked about factual articles or not!

Protests - Writing 2020
PROTESTS
Why do people protest? To fight for what they think is right, raising awareness so we
can all make a change in our community. For more than 150 years, New Zealand has
had the freedom to protest. You can protest if you want!

What is a protest? A protest is a party of people taking action against or for something.
Hikoi, March, Strike, Petition, Meet and Rallies, these are the different ways you can
protest. The group of people share the same understanding and perspective and try to
convince the other side to see what is wrong!

convince the other side to see what is wrong!
What causes a protest? Protests are an action-based response to a controversial topic.
It usually occurs when people have had enough of staying silent. They use their voice as
an attempt to influence the public, government and more.

Do Protests actually work? Yes! But, it depends on the people who are protesting and
the government. The protesters must be able to convince and have evidence to support
their protest, Our government should also be able to listen and understand what they’re
trying to say, they should also make the right and best decision for their people and
land. It all decides on both sides!

Now that you are more educated on protests, what are you gonna do? WIll you use
your voice and amplify others' opinions? You have the freedom to protest about
anything. You are able to protest and change the world!

Narratives have a structure? - Writing 2020
TASK DESCRIPTION
This week we are focussing on narrative writing. Very different to our usual explanation essay that we've been using a lot. I learnt about its structure with the help of the story mountain. The story mountain is a summary of a narrative, it is kind of like a storyboard and shows the action of story, climax and resolution. I also read an interesting text. It was relatively hard but I was able to understand the purpose of the story. I also sorted out that text onto a story mountain. Hopefully I'll get to write my own narrative and succeeding at getting the structure right.
