My final DLO at Pt England. It's a been a long 8-9 years at PES. I've enjoyed every moment here. I made it my job to finish it off properly by finishing my last DLO.

This term, our topic was Art Alive. For our animation, we had to create an art gallery about our life! An image of our family. An original graphic image of something we are passionate about and a painting of an artist we studied earlier this term.

Famous Artists Painting.
I researched about Vincent Van Gogh with my class. I chose a painting from his famous series of sunflower paintings. Vase with 12 sunflowers. He communicated his gratitude with this painting.

Passion.
I created an original image of my passion. Education. Math, Reading, Writing. I love all subjects at school. Ultimately, Education is to help us learn. But, it also helps develop our socializing skill and more.

Family.
I didn't have a photo with my whole family, but I managed to grab an image of someone important in my life. I added a cartoon-like effect to the photo which definitely made it look more artistic. It is an image of my sister and I. She reminds me of my younger self and I want to set a good example for her so she can follow in my footsteps. Once I leave, she'll be starting at this school. Family is something that lasts forever and is a gift!

Watch the video above to hear and see more information about each artwork. Thank you!

Art Expo - Art 2020

As you all know the topic for this term is ' Art Alive - Toi Ora '. So, we've been practising some artsy things. I created a Kiwiana Image and I also re-created the starry night, which I have posted about earlier on this term. But! The whole school participated in a Art Expo. Spending the last 7 weeks to produce different styles of art.

We went in a line around the school, strolling through different classes to see each students art. I really enjoyed seeing the various artworks from around the world, from the Pacific Islands to Africa. I got to admire and read the juniors work which was AMAZING!! Team 1, 2 & 3 were covered in C-O-L-O-U-R. I loved it!

My favourite artwork was from Room 22 & 23. They made tie dye shirts. They experiments with pastels, paints and dye to create different texture and hues of colours. They must've had so much fun designing their art.

Our school is so lucky to have fun events like these. This was definitely a nice way to finish off the term and year. This was not the first time having a Art Exhibition at school. I appreciate the time and effort that went into each artwork.

Thank you Point England!

We've been learning about Vincent Van Gogh for a while now. We practised Pointillism - the painting technique Vincent used, with pastels and colouring pencils. Pointillism is basically small and short strokes with many different colours so it forms an illusion of colour! We then moved onto actually painting the STARRY NIGHT!!!! It was very exciting but also hard. I struggled with using the technique as I was very used to doing long, thick brush strokes. But I finished it within a week, so do not judge the finished look. I am very proud of my artwork!
