Reflection on Maths - Maths 2019

This year, I enjoyed Maths a lot. I learnt many things like Ratios, Decimals, Fractions, Percentages, Statistics, Geometry and Algebra.
This year I have improved a lot compared to the beginning of the year and last year. My strengths are a part of the Strand Content. I need to keep on working hard mainly on Ratios and Number Knowledge.

Next year, Mrs Stone and I will try and move my grades up higher than it already is. I can't wait til next year for what kind of Maths we will learn more about.

Overall, I am proud of myself for doing well on every Maths test and basically just this whole year's progress.

Reaction Question Response

Reaction Question: Do you think it is a good idea to learn our times tables using songs? Why/ why not?

I think that it is a excellent idea because some songs are really catchy and the kids could learn their times tables more faster. Music can help our memory because some of us learnt our ABC's by singing a song. Here's a challenge for you, try to say your ABC's without sing the tune of the ABC's song.

Pisirina Reflection Paideia Seminar Term 2.

This Term we had the Paideia Seminar for Term 2 because we had no time for the Seminar. Me, Jahzara, Levonah and Amelia were in a group for the Seminar. Our perspective was School. I chose this because it had lot’s of reasons and facts to talk about. This is what we were talking and arguing politely about:
Is it important to keep our humanity, emotions, critical thinking, and empathy or doesn’t it matter if we live in a wired world where we are individuals, not a community?
What is the best or worst case scenario of living in a world, where we don’t communicate face to face?
I felt really nervous, I kept on telling my group I don’t know what to say but Amelia told me to just piggy bank on my Idea. My Emotions took over me but I was okay. I thought that I didn’t really talk that much because I was really shy. One person who surprised me was Bethan because she barely opened her mouth and usually she dominates the conversation. Something I could do better is to talk more and express myself because everybody has a voice.

What is that?

What does this product look like?.......

We looked at a picture of a shoe but we didn’t know what it did. It looks like a new slim product. It doesn’t have laces and it looks like it would cost millions of dollars. You would definitely buy it because of its aesthetics. You would think it hasn’t been invented but it has. All I can say is that it is an eye catching product. I think it is made out rubber and carbon fibre because it is strong and useful for shoes.

What do you think this product is?.......

I have lots of ideas, its like my head is full of ideas. I am sure that if you press the icon on the front of the shoes it will activate the phone that is under your shoes. So it controls your shoes, meaning it’s like a remote. If you say moonwalk out loud it will do it for you, it even does the same thing when you tell it to dance.

What is the real product?

The product’s name is The world’s first smart shoe. They don’t come in your size, they just come in one size and it shrinks into your size. The company that created this product is Digitsole. One of its finest features is You can control the shoes with your smartphone. Another thing about the shoe is that  it has self lacing.  You can also warm up the shoes to 113 'F (45 celsius) individually on your phone. My opinion on the shoe is it is an amazing product and that it might be one of the world’s most unbelievable shoes. Here is a link to the website if you want to know more about the shoe.

I think I wouldn’t buy it because of the amount of the money and the shoes we have are already enough!
