On the Site, it said that we had to pretend that I was lost in the middle of a forest and that I lost my group and Curious Kiwi.

Activity 1:

I have no idea what to do maybe I should call out for them. “Umm, hello, Curious Kiwi” I shouted out loud. “Thump” I heard something around the corner. I was scared to look behind the bush but it was just wind pushing the rubbish. “Whew” I was relieved.

Since they are not replying, I guess I have to walk, all by myself! I was only walking for 10 minutes until I saw some Campers wait is that my group and Curious Kiwi!

For this Activity, I had to choose a Famous New Zealander and write 5
facts about your person you chose.

Name: Lorde(Stage name),Real Name: Ella.

Born: Takapuna but raised in Devonport, Auckland.

How she is famous: How she is famous is from her song she came out with called Royals in 2013.

Lorde (Ella) began performing in theatre productions at the age of 5 years.

Lorde was 17 years old when she released her song Royals.

Day #4: Swimming with Sharks.

Hi everyone, today I am going to be blogging about the Farewell Spit Whale stranding. On the Site, it said we had to explain what the locals did to try and save the Whales. So let us begin.

They had to keep on pouring the buckets full of water so they can still be hydrated. The locals had to keep away from their tails and keep their blow hole clear and cover them as well. They had to help over 300 beached whales. The Farewell Spit is now a graveyard of the 300 pilot whales.

Activity 2:

Day #4: Swimming with Sharks.

Hi everyone, today I am going to be blogging about a movie trailer called Whale Rider. On the Site, it said that we had to summarise the trailer and vote it on a scale of one to five. Here is my description of the trailer.

Whale Rider is about this girl named Paikea who had a twin brother. Her twin brother didn’t make it at birth. Paikea is a descendant of her ancestor Paikea. But every generation the first born son was going to lead them out of the darkness and so Paikea wanted to prove that not only the chosen people are the ones to lead their tribe but all of them could as well. I give the Trailers a 5 out of 5 because it had a true meaning behind the whole movie/trailer.

Day #4: Swimming with Sharks Bonus Activity.

Hey, guys, it’s Pisi and today I am going to be doing the Bonus Activity for Day#4. On the Site, it said that we are going to be learning about Hector’s Dolphin. I am going to be blogging about if we should stop people fishing in the Farewell Spit.

I say we should stop the fisherman because they are very rare and native. Did you know that Hector’s Dolphins only grow up to 1.5 meters, so they are the smallest Dolphins in the world? Another reason why we should stop them is that there are approximately 80 individuals left and 55 adult Hector’s Dolphins left on earth.

That is why we should Stop the Fisherman.

Skin Colour: Greenish brown so they can camouflage in the wild.

Hi, it’s Pisi and today I am going to be blogging about if we should let predators be free or if we should trap them up and kill them. Here is m my opinions. I think that we should trap them up and kill them because…….

Activity 2

1. People used to think that Possums only ate plants but there is research that Possums can eat eggs and chicks and I don’t want little baby chicks getting harmed.
2. Possums also eat nectar and berries and that is what the native birds eat . So there are fewer berries for the Native Birds.
3. If we kill the possums we can take their fur and make some clothing.

Day #2: New Zealand by Land and Sea

Hi, it’s Pisi and today I am going to be showing you guys my favorite place I’ve been to so far.

Activity 1:

Rangitoto Island was wonderful. It was an amazing place to go but it was a long walk up the Island. When I was hiking, I couldn’t see a thing except for trees. When I was on top of the Island I saw a Majestic View and I even saw the Sky Tower.

For this Activity, I had to ask questions to this German Sailor named Laura Dekker. Here are my 5 questions for her.

Activity 2:

1. At my school we were learning about Sailing, What did do you use to find your destination such as a compass, sun, stars and ocean swells?

2. What types of food do you eat while you are Sailing?

3. How do you feel about that 800 Million Tonnes of rubbish go into the ocean?

4. How many countries or continents have you visited?

5. How long did it take to travel around the whole world?

Pure New Zealand, Activity 1.

Pure New Zealand. Here are some facts about New Zealand.

1. Our country is made of Maori, Europeans, Pasifika and many more cultures.
2. Rugby is the most famous sport in New Zealand,  the All Blacks trained so hard that they were able to win the World's Cup.
3. A traditional greeting in Maori is called a Hongi. Maori people do a Hongi at a special occasion. A Hongi is when two people press their noses together and breathe in when they breathe in they are breathing in life.
